Topic: Welcome to Artificial Intelligence group
I'd like to welcome everyone who has joined this group.
In this group, I hope to discuss, but not limited to Artificial Intelligence. And no! you will not learn how to build an intelligent machine who can act and feel like a human, but maybe you can see some interesting issues about it.

Some of the applications of Artificial Intelligence is to be able to solve programming problems in an "Intelligent way". If you have questions, or want to open a discussion about certain topic related by not limited to AI, you are warmly welcome.

I hear stories about machines which are consious like a human being all the time, from sources like Movies, Science Fiction books.. etc
but my question is...

" Do you think whether it is possible to create a machine like a human? "

I like to know a little more detail about Artificial Intelligence.
Like what it is? How it does? Where it's used?
Can anyone tell me, pls?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a technique which simulate intelligent behavior of human being, such as learning, reasoning , intuition ... etc.

Artificial Intelligence involves in many division of computer science that includes control theory ,natural language processing and robot ... etc

Machines are pure logic circuits built out of millions of switches. So, although, we might be able to "simulate"
human behaviour, but, in the end, it is nothing more than a simulation.

Secondly, human behaviour has, besides pure logic and reasoning, a "random" element attached with it called emotions which cannot be explained, but can only be experienced.

For something which cant be explained, it is all the more difficult to simulate.

Latest AI Machines CAN simulate rule of the thumb and reasoning. They can also bo basic neural processing for face recognition, hand writing recognition.

But, we should not forget, they are tools to extend out intellect

AI or Artificial Intelligence is the implementation of human like problem solving techniques to solve problems.

Although computers are faster in most aspects of problem solving, they have been lagging behind humans in certain areas.

Take face recognition for instance. It is Very very difficult(if not impossible!!) to implement it using traditional programming techniques.

Similar is the case of voice recognition, Expert systems, making forecasts (finance, weather, etc)

So, the above mentioned problems seem like a childs play to humans, but are very difficult for a computer to solve.

To solve theis subset of problems, we require the AI.

AI programming can be done with any language and is generally considered language independent. BUT, there are languages like LISP, PROLOG specializing in this domain.

I hope this answers all your questions

thanks for reading.
